Fold3 is a subscription website that concentrates on military records. According to the weekly newsletter from Family Tree Magazine, Fold3 is allowing free access to its Native American records through November 15. Linking from the newsletter brought me directly to the available records, but they were not as easily found when visiting www.fold3.com.
From the Fold3 home page, click on "Explore Our Content," followed by "Browse Records." If you then choose "non-military records" under the Categories, you can select the "Native American Collection" to reach the 7 available databases.
However, I also discovered that a large number of record categories are always free to search. From the Categories mentioned above, select "All Titles" where you can browse the index to find all free databases.
