November 5 Workshop

Nancy introduced the officers and the roundtable produced some interesting responses.

Butch spent 11 weeks in England over the summer doing "pet sitting" at various locations. They were able to spend much time touring.

Carolyn is continuing to provide documentation for her research.

Maureen attended two conferences: the NGS in St. Charles, MO and the FGS in Washington, D.C. She signed up for a DNA analysis and is still processing the results.

Delrene was contacted by someone who located her via FindAGrave to return two of her father's paintings that had been purchased in Bozeman. She also received a photo of her g.g. grandmother through an Ancestry contact.

Laurie has completed his project of scanning 6500 family photos from the early 1900s on and is ready to return to genealogy research. Relatives from Wales who visited them over the summer turned out to be subjects of a photo taken there on a trip his parents took many years ago.

Nancy visited the Family History Library on her way south this fall where one of the volunteers helped her to locate her grandfather's Alberta marriage certificate by "thinking outside the box."

Susan is documenting information on living relatives, including a new granddaughter!

Mary Ann bought a Mac when her computer failed and found out she could no longer use Legacy. She has re-entered her information on FamilySearch.

Deenie has been attending writing classes at a local senior center.

Dick spent several days at the Wisconsin Historical Society collecting obituaries using their microfilm collection.

Bob met with a cousin who is eight years older and who was able to share memories of their grandfather.

Annie has made some interesting connections with other researchers on FamilySearch.

We also had a short review of the Linkpendium website and a preview of the upcoming Pinal County Genealogy Workshop.
