English Research

FindMyPast has a new database that will help anyone looking for census records more recent than 1911. The England/Wales electoral registers for 1920 are now available. These records include men and women who were eligible to vote. Women had first gained the right in 1918. Here's part of the announcement:

"Discover where your ancestors were living in a 1920 census substitute created from our exclusive collection of England & Wales electoral records. These newly indexed records can be searched by name, year, constituency, polling district and keyword."
