Conference Opportunities - Canada

May 29-31, 2015

The Ontario Genealogical Society will hold its annual conference at the Georgian College Campus in Barrie, ON. The theme is "Tracks Through Time" to celebrate the 130th anniversary of the completion of the Canadian Pacific Railway. For information on this conference visit www.ogs.on.ca/conference.


June 19-21, 2015

The Quebec Family History Society will be hosting an international conference on family history research at McGill University, Montreal, Quebec. Events will be open to the public and lectures will be presented in English. More details can be found at www.qfhs.ca.


July 17-19, 2015

The first ever National Genealogy Conference at Historic Pier 21 in Halifax, Nova Scotia will take place in July. For information and registration go to www.visiontravel.ca/heidiwilker. According to Wikipedia, Pier 21 was an ocean liner terminal and immigration shed from 1928 to 1971 in Halifax. Over one million immigrants came to Canada through Pier 21.
