The topic for June 26 concerns genealogy and the law: "How Knowing the Law Makes Us Better Genealogists." Knowing the laws that affected our ancestors will help to make sense of the records and find clues to more records.
Anyone who is researching Canadian ancestors or who has "border crossers" will be interested in the July 10 presentation: "Canadian Ports of Entry: Ship Passenger Lists, Immigration Records, and Border Crossing Records." The presenter will focus on strategies for searching the available websites.
