We scheduled a "WORK" workshop when the park changed times for its event. After a short demonstration of the Family Tree on FamilySearch, attendees spent the rest of the time working on their chosen area of research. There was a DNA discussion and a Fold3 demo. Several people were looking at "blue" suggestions and another member was looking for a marriage record to solve a mystery. Time was well spent.

Club Expo - 2023
Thanks to those members who volunteered at our Club Expo table Saturday. It worked out (accidentally) that we had both a Canadian and a U.S. member working each hour! Thank you Dave and Remi, Diane and Mary Anne, Beth and Royal. Your time was appreciated.

January 3 Workshop
Our first workshop of 2023 was all about getting started in genealogy. We covered the basics of a pedigree chart, suggested formats for names, dates and locations and a few hints regarding census research. We also reviewed the most efficient way to locate census records on both Ancestry and Family Search.
We are continuing to assign mentors to those who ask for specific help. Several members have volunteered to act in that capacity.
As usual following a workshop, there were folks working together on research questions.
And thanks for the lemons, Mike!
